Island Hopping Adventure with Blue Shark Tours: A Family Excursion to Remember
As travel influencers and adventure seekers, we’re always on the lookout for experiences that bring us closer to the beauty of the destinations we visit. On this particular day, we set out on an unforgettable family island-hopping excursion with Blue Shark Tours—a journey that took us across the breathtaking Adriatic, hopping from island to island, making memories that will last a lifetime.
Setting Sail from Kastela
With ten family members joining in on the fun, we decided to rent a private boat to make the experience more intimate and personal. After extensive research, Blue Shark Tours stood out as the perfect choice for our adventure. Early that morning, we all gathered at the dock in Kastela, eager for the day ahead. With the boat untied and the engine roaring to life, we motored away from the shore, heading out to sea for our first destination.

A Thrilling Ride to Milna
Our first stop was Milna, a charming fishing village on the island of Brač. For many of us, it was our first time on a speedboat, and we were in for quite the surprise. As we ventured into deeper waters and the captain picked up speed, the boat began bouncing over the waves, catching the wake of larger vessels. For some, this was exhilarating, but for my sister and nephew, the constant motion proved to be a little too much.
Upon reaching Milna, they made the difficult decision to take a ferry back to Split, cutting their excursion short. Though saddened to see them go, the rest of us pressed on, determined to make the most of our day on the water.

A Hidden Oasis Near Hvar
From Milna, we embarked on a one-hour ride towards Hvar, but the highlight of this leg of the journey was an incredible hidden cove along the way. We dropped anchor in the turquoise blue sea, pulled out our floaties, and dove right in. The water was refreshingly cool, and the experience of floating in the open sea with family was nothing short of magical. It was a moment of pure joy—one that left us all wanting to do it again.

An Exclusive Lunch Stop
After our leisurely swim, we continued on to our lunch spot, tucked away in a secluded area of Hvar. To reach it, however, we had to transfer onto a smaller boat, which added an extra layer of adventure to our excursion. With all ten of us squeezed in alongside the skipper, it was a precarious yet exciting journey to shore.
Lunch was nothing short of spectacular—a true sea-to-table experience where everything served had been freshly caught that day. From the succulent seafood to the crisp local wine, every bite was a testament to the richness of the Adriatic.

The Journey Back to Kastela
With our bellies full and our spirits high, we made our way back to the speedboat for the return trip to Kastela. By this time, the sun was dipping lower in the sky, casting a golden glow over the sea. Unlike the journey out, where every bounce of the boat was felt, the ride back was smooth and soothing. Everyone was laid out, exhausted yet content, soaking in the last moments of our adventure. I even managed to finally relax and take a video of the mesmerizing ride home.

A Day to Remember

By 5:00 PM, we arrived back at the dock in Kastela, our energy spent but our hearts full. The day had been filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable experiences (even if not everyone loved the speedboat ride). Blue Shark Tours had provided us with an incredible way to explore the islands, and for most of us, it was a day we'd gladly relive again.
If you're looking for a truly immersive island-hopping experience in Croatia, we highly recommend booking a private boat with Blue Shark Tours. Whether it’s the thrill of speeding across the Adriatic, the peacefulness of a secluded swim, or the flavors of a fresh seafood feast, this excursion is sure to be one for the books!
