For our family vacation, we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place than Villa Sol & Mar in Kaštela. Traveling with six adults — Dennis and I, my sister, brother-in-law, and their two grown children — we had a few “must haves” on our list: right on the beach, a private pool, four bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a washing machine, parking, and plenty of nearby dining. This villa delivered on every point and so much more.

The location is unbeatable. Just open the gate and the Adriatic Sea is at your feet, with stunning views and a quiet beach that felt wonderfully local, free of tourist crowds. We loved being able to walk to nearby eateries, the lively riva with local vendors, and even a bakery, grocery store, and a home selling fresh produce just up the road. Split was only about a 20-minute drive away, making day trips easy while still keeping our home base peaceful.

The villa itself was beautiful — modern, spacious, and designed for comfort. The huge kitchen and outdoor dining space made it easy for us to share meals and spend time together, while the private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms gave everyone their own retreat. Whether we were swimming in the pool, enjoying the sea breeze on the terrace, or welcoming family who came to visit, Villa Sol & Mar gave us the picture-perfect setting for our 12-day stay by the sea.
